i am officially finished my third year - kinda scary! wow.

i'm leaving kingston on monday, heading back to mississauga for the summer. with perhaps a summer job in store. maybe i'll be working at the 'bucks, who knows. in any case, here's some of the things i have to look forward to:

+ celebrate toronto streetfestival
+ weekly festivals at the harbourfront
+ k-os performance at harbourfront july 21st ( pretty sure that's the date..)
+ caribana - island festivities ;)
+ zamar lounge**** this should be great, just hope i can go for SURE!!!
+ thebetween performing at the queen's head pub in oakville
+ hanging out with the parents and the family
+ sash's wedding AUGUST 21st - otherwise known as 'great times for all!!' the entire family together again, in trinidad, celebrating this marriage and having fuuuuuun. cannot wait!!
+ cruising in the car with a sweet system - as my cousin puts it 'here comes the BOOOM'
+ driving, in general
+ more time to devote to music ie guitar and keys

should be a good summer. i'm looking forward to it. as for now though, i'm gonna enjoy my last few days in kingston while i can.

i wish i was sixteen and living in barbados...again.

man, i was chatting with some of my bajan boys tonight, and reminiscing...man i miss those years. they were amazing.

two thumbs up for powerade.

i think powerade is the new coffee. i drank a bottle of it yesterday, and i stayed up, fully awake until 4am this morning. crazy. it helps cuz it seems that the daytime just doesn't allow for the same productivity levels.

although really, this morning i was playing around on hi5 (similar to friendster, myspace, etc). i found my primary, junior high and high schools and added myself to the groups. thrilling. i also ran across some people i knew and added them to my friend list. i'm not quite sure how, but that site has stolen hours of my precious time. it's all about 'hey i know that person' >click< 'oh, i know them too!' >click< and before you know it, you've successfully found your entire high school graduating class and you're just not ready for that exam you've got in an hour. dang.

so as to avoid such a situation (although, really, i think i've been successful in finding a lot of friends from my barbados high school...) i will go study now. just let me go get that powerade first.

gahhh all i want is msn.

okay, i officially want regular msn back. i thought i could handle this e-messenger deal, but it just doesn't satisfy the same way. any computer pros out there think they can help me fix my machine?

THE problem: i can't install anything new on my computer because it says there is an installation already in progress.

MY problem: i have no idea what it's talking about.

the COMPUTER'S problem: it has a mind of its own and won't tell me what it's installing and why this alleged installation has been going on for over six months.

suggestions anyone?

wet feet.

okay - so iris and i have been living in this apartment since september. i have been living here successfully and safely up until today.

i ran into grace on campus today, and she came over to watch shark tale. i decided to take a quick shower before we started the movie. i shower, and step out onto the floor, the mat absent for today (as it has been for the past few weeks). i wrap by towel around myself, grab my clothes and start toward the door. i open the door. just as i step from the bathroom to the hall my wet feet fly out from under me - i don't only fall once, but three times. ask me how, i don't know. >bang<>bang<>bang< i hit my face. i hit my knee. i hit my shoulder. and i'm down for the count. grace turns around to see me on the floor. i am laughing, she is laughing and i pull myself up and hobble into my room.

how many times have i come out of the bathroom with wet feet and make it successfully to my room? ALL YEAR! but today, oh this once, wet feet decide to punish me. i still chuckle at the thought of it as i rub the bruises on my knee, shoulder, face and wrist. oh what a day.

this is the bridesmaid's dress my cousin picked for the wedding. ow owww!! can't wait!!! we are gonna look fine ;)
